Criminal leader sentenced to 24 years for murder in Florianópolis
A female leader of a criminal faction in Florianópolis has been sentenced to 24 years, one month, and 10 days in prison. The conviction follows a 2024 incident where she ordered the murder of a man suspected of stealing drugs.
According to the Santa Catarina Court of Justice, the victim was shot and subsequently buried in a shallow grave, where part of the body was destroyed. The woman was charged with multiple offenses, including triple homicide and criminal organization. While jurors acquitted her of receiving stolen goods, destruction of a corpse, and tampering with vehicle identification, they upheld the primary homicide charge.
Two of the three executors have already been sentenced, with one receiving over 38 years in prison. A third executor is scheduled for trial on November 19.
