Violent crimes reported in Greece, Albania, and Italy

A 32-year-old Romanian national appeared before an investigating judge in Lavrio, Greece, after a violent attack on his former partner and her current partner. The suspect allegedly climbed a ladder to reach a balcony, broke a window with a hammer, and entered the apartment. During the assault, the woman's current partner was critically injured and remains in intensive care, while the woman is being treated in a private clinic. The suspect faces charges including attempted murder, illegal possession of a weapon, and violation of restraining orders.

In Albania, a mother in Tirana reported her partner to the police for domestic violence and the sexual abuse of her 12-year-old daughter. The suspect was arrested and is currently in custody. While the man initially denied the sexual abuse allegations, he reportedly admitted to using physical violence against the minor.

In Italy, authorities in Torino have arrested a 45-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man in connection with the murder of 55-year-old Mikel Rroku. Investigators believe the couple planned the killing, which occurred around June 30. The victim was found in a state of decomposition in his apartment on July 6. The motive is suspected to be a desire to secure the victim's social housing and to pursue the couple's relationship.
