Criminals sentenced or arrested in Mexico and Colombia robberies

In separate criminal incidents in Mexico and Colombia, authorities have secured convictions or arrests following violent robberies and kidnappings.

In Puebla, Mexico, three men—identified as Rodrigo “N”, Rosendo “N”, and Efrén “N”—were sentenced to 50 years in prison. The group intercepted a truck driver on the Mexico-Puebla highway, kidnapped him, and stole a vehicle carrying over six tons of pet food. They were apprehended by municipal police in Coronango while attempting to switch to a sedan.

In Soacha, Colombia, three individuals were captured following the kidnapping and robbery of a ride-hailing driver. The victim was tied up and threatened with knives and a firearm before being forced to perform electronic bank transfers. The suspects also stole cash, jewelry, and a vehicle valued at over 60 million pesos. The victim was later abandoned in a wooded area near the Soacha-Mosquera road.
