Belém hosts gastronomy workshops and religious concerts for Círio de Nazaré

The Círio de Nazaré celebrations in Belém are incorporating diverse cultural and economic initiatives. The Círio Iluminado 2026 project is hosting gastronomy workshops in the Vila da Barca and São Lourenço communities. Led by chef Lena Kato, these sessions aim to foster entrepreneurship and income generation by teaching traditional Pará recipes and new techniques to local residents.

Additionally, the Basílica Santuário de Nazaré will host the 26th edition of the ‘Um Canto para Maria’ concert on October 9. The musical event, which honors Our Lady of Nazareth, features soprano Patrícia Oliveira and lyric singer Júnior Oliveira. This year’s edition highlights social integration by including performances from children and youth from various local social music projects.
