Círio de Nazaré USA celebrates fourth edition in Florida

The fourth edition of Círio de Nazaré USA is taking place in southern Florida from August 13 to 16. Organized by the Missão Famílias de Nazaré, the event brings together the Brazilian community, particularly those from Pará, to celebrate their religious traditions.

The celebration was founded by Carlos Waldney, who sought to recreate the spiritual atmosphere of the traditional festivities in Belém while living in the United States. The event has grown since its first edition in 2023, attracting devotees of various nationalities.

The program includes masses, novenas, and missionary activities, culminating in a procession and mass on Sunday, August 16, at St. Vincent Catholic Church in Margate. The festivities feature traditional Pará cuisine, such as maniçoba, caruru, and tacacá, and follow the theme ‘Maria, missionária que nos dá Jesus’.
