Cris Cyborg retains PFL title and reaches 30th career win

Cris Cyborg retained her PFL women’s featherweight title by defeating Ketlen Vieira via unanimous decision at PFL Tampa. The victory marks the 30th professional win in Cyborg’s career. Although the bout was originally scheduled as a title fight, it was contested at a catchweight of 153 pounds after Vieira missed the 145-pound limit by approximately seven pounds.

Following the five-round match, the 41-year-old veteran declined to confirm her retirement, stating she needs time to decide her next move and wishes to take a break. During her post-fight interview, Cyborg issued challenges to boxing champion Claressa Shields and UFC fighter Kayla Harrison, expressing readiness to compete against anyone in any weight class.

Vieira, who missed weight, suffered her sixth career defeat in the bout. Cyborg’s win extends her current unbeaten streak in MMA to nearly eight years.
