Crissolo receives funding for Serre hamlet redevelopment

The hamlet of Serre in Crissolo will undergo an extensive redevelopment of its public spaces and primary infrastructure. The Piedmont Region has approved funding of 422,461.89 euros, covering 90% of the total project costs through the 2023-2027 Rural Development Complementary Fund.

Key aspects of the project include the undergrounding of electrical, telephone, and public lighting lines to reduce visual impact and protect networks from extreme weather. To preserve the historical character of the alpine village and its status within the Monviso UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, asphalt will be replaced with local stone and porphyry. Additionally, the project will implement LED lighting and improved rainwater drainage systems.
