Cristel confirmed that she has not spoken to her father for several months, a silence that resulted in his absence from her tenth wedding anniversary celebrations with Davor Luksic.

Cristel attributed the breakdown to “years and years of unresolved issues” that have accumulated over time. She noted that the situation reached a breaking point following a recent televised outburst by Al Bano directed at his ex-wife, Romina Power. The tension was further exacerbated by public comments regarding the family's late daughter, Ylenia Carrisi.
