Cristian Shpendi sets Serie B scoring record

Cristian Shpendi has achieved a significant scoring milestone in Serie B, netting six goals in the first five weeks of the season. This performance marks the first time in approximately 20 years that a player has scored in five consecutive matches in the league, a feat last accomplished by Francesco Tavano.

Shpendi’s current form shows substantial improvement over the previous season, where it took him 16 matches to reach a six-goal tally. Statistically, he is noted alongside Barcelona’s Raphinha; while Raphinha reached six goals in fewer matches (four), Shpendi is the only player among the top five European leagues to have scored in five consecutive matches this season.

This scoring streak arrives as the Albanian national team prepares for Nations League challenges. Coach Sylvinho will have access to the striker during a period of high confidence and momentum.
