Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez hold civil wedding

Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez reportedly held an intimate civil wedding ceremony at their summer home in Cascais on August 11, following nearly a decade together. The ceremony was attended only by their five children.

Following the civil ceremony, the couple visited the Sanctuary of Fátima. While initial reports and social media rumors suggested the couple had received a Catholic wedding blessing, the Diocese of Leiria-Fátima has clarified that no Catholic marriage ceremony or specific wedding blessing took place.

The Diocese stated that the couple requested a Mass “for the intentions of the couple,” which was conducted according to standard liturgical norms. Officials confirmed that while the Bishop was aware of the celebration, the event was a standard Mass for pilgrims and did not involve a formal religious marriage rite.
