Cristiano Ronaldo apologizes for leaving Portuguese national team camp

Cristiano Ronaldo has issued an apology after leaving the Portuguese national team delegation following a match against Norway. The player expressed frustration over what he perceived as disrespect from coach Jorge Jesus.

Ronaldo revealed that Jesus had reportedly agreed to acknowledge a tactical error in a subsequent press conference, specifically regarding the decision not to play him. The coach allegedly planned to state, “I erred in warming up someone of the dimension of Pelé or Maradona only to not put them in the game. If it were today, I would not do it.”

Former Portuguese international Luís Vidigal commented on the incident, noting that while the coach admitted to an error, the resulting fallout was excessive. Vidigal suggested that Ronaldo might have regretted his decision to leave the team immediately after departing on a flight.
