Cristiano Ronaldo linked to Al-Nassr ownership stake

Cristiano Ronaldo may soon become a part-owner of the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr. Reports indicate that an American investment consortium, led by RedBird Capital Partners, is in preliminary negotiations to acquire a 70% stake in the club.

Under the proposed deal, Ronaldo could potentially acquire a 20% share in the team. This move comes as Saudi Arabia seeks to attract private investment to reduce the reliance of its football clubs on the Public Investment Fund (PIF).

Before any sale can proceed, the PIF is reportedly looking to stabilize the club's finances, which currently face a debt of approximately $213 million. The entry of RedBird Capital Partners, which also owns AC Milan, could signal a shift in Al-Nassr's transfer market strategy and spending capabilities.
