Al Nassr secures dramatic 3-2 comeback win over Al Ettifaq
Al Nassr achieved a dramatic 3-2 comeback victory against Al Ettifaq in the Saudi Pro League, despite playing with ten men for most of the match. The game was marked by early adversity when Al Nassr goalkeeper Bento received a direct red card in the 12th minute. Al Ettifaq capitalized on the numerical advantage, taking a 2-0 lead into halftime through goals from Ondrej Duda and Alvaro Medran.
At halftime, Al Nassr manager Ange Postecoglou made the controversial tactical decision to substitute Cristiano Ronaldo for Abdullah Al Khaibari. Ronaldo reportedly showed visible frustration and anger toward his teammates and the decision before leaving the pitch.
Following the substitution, Al Nassr mounted a second-half rally. Sadio Mane scored in the 74th minute to narrow the gap, followed by an equalizer from Abdulelah Al-Amri in the 77th minute.
