FC Porto maintains perfect record with win over Gil Vicente

FC Porto secured their ninth consecutive victory in the Primeira Liga with a 1-0 away win against Gil Vicente at the Estádio Cidade de Barcelos. Borja Sainz scored the decisive goal in the 63rd minute, following a cross from Victor Froholdt.

The victory allows Porto to maintain a perfect record of nine wins from nine matches, keeping them at the top of the league standings with 27 points. This domestic success provides a sharp contrast to the club's recent struggles in the Champions League, where they have suffered three consecutive defeats.

The match was marked by a late red card for Gil Vicente's Marvin Elimbi in the 84th minute after a foul on Pepê. Additionally, Porto's Oskar Pietuszewski was forced to miss the match after sustaining a thigh discomfort during warm-ups, leading to Sainz being moved into the starting lineup.
