Cristiano Ronaldo's future at Al-Nassr remains uncertain
Speculation continues regarding Cristiano Ronaldo’s future with Al-Nassr, involving both his playing career and potential club ownership. According to the Saudi newspaper Okaz, the process for a potential takeover of the club remains unresolved, as no new or altered offers have been presented by interested investors.
A previous investment proposal reportedly involved an alliance of four companies—one American and three Saudi—aiming to purchase 50 percent of the Al-Nassr club company for less than $100 million. This structure included a model where Ronaldo would hold a 20 percent ownership stake, though it remains unclear if this specific detail is still part of current negotiations, as his name has not appeared in recent versions of the investment plans.
Separately, discussions regarding Ronaldo’s departure from the pitch have intensified. While his current contract runs until 2027, former club spokesperson Saud Al-Sarami suggested to Al Arabiya Sports that the star could leave during the winter transfer window. Ronaldo has also indicated that the 2026-27 season may be his last, as he pursues the milestone of 1,000 career goals.
