Cristina Ciminnisi demands access to records on guaranteed health services in Trapani

Regional deputy Cristina Ciminnisi of the Movimento 5 Stelle has filed a request for access to documents held by the ASP of Trapani to verify how the newly approved "prestazioni garantite" system is being applied. The measure, formally approved in December 2024, should allow patients to obtain specialist visits and diagnostic exams at no personal cost when public waiting lists are saturated, by using private accredited providers.

Ciminnisi highlighted that many residents are unaware of the procedure and its bureaucratic steps. She will join a sit‑in protest outside Sant'Antonio Abate Hospital on 30 July, part of the "Sanità X Tutti" campaign that aims to collect complaints from citizens and healthcare staff about long waiting lists, staffing shortages, and organisational delays in Sicily’s health system.
