Cristina Fernández de Kirchner receives $16 million life pension payment

Cristina Fernández de Kirchner has received a gross payment of $16,090,877.01 from ANSES for her life pension as the widow of former President Néstor Kirchner. This payment, processed in September for the month of August, follows a judicial order to provisionally restore the benefit that the government had previously suspended.

Despite complying with the court's decision to reinstate the payment, the Argentine government intends to continue its legal challenge. The Ministry of Human Capital is pursuing resources before the Supreme Court of Justice to overturn the ruling by the Federal Social Security Chamber and permanently suspend the benefit.
