Cristina Kirchner case: New images of safes and vault revealed
During a hearing for the ‘Cuadernos’ corruption case, the court presented new images and videos from the 2018 raids conducted at the residences of former President Cristina Kirchner in Río Gallegos and El Calafate.
Former Argentine Federal Police Commissioner Adrián Lotocki, who led the operations, provided testimony regarding the inspections. Evidence included photographs of two open safes: one located on a high shelf above a clothing rack, which was found empty, and another on the floor containing various books and notebooks.
Lotocki described the discovery of a reinforced vault on the ground floor of the El Calafate property. He noted the door was “very thick” and featured multiple frames, requiring Gendarmerie to use “special tools” to gain entry. The raids were originally ordered by the late federal judge Claudio Bonadio and prosecutor Carlos Stornelli.
