Cristina Kirchner seeks retroactive pension payments from ANSES
Former President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner has filed a legal claim requesting that the National Social Security Administration (ANSES) recalculate her life pension and pay retroactive amounts.
Through her legal representative, Facundo Fernández Pastor, the claim seeks payments dating back to April 24, 2026, which is the date a precautionary measure from the Third Chamber of the Federal Social Security Court became firm. While ANSES recently issued a payment of approximately 16,090,877.01 pesos in September to comply with a court order, the defense argues this only covered the month of August and failed to include previous months.
Additionally, the legal filing seeks to nullify certain deductions applied to the benefit. These include a 20% reduction intended to recover funds ANSES deems were improperly received, as well as withholdings related to income tax and social security health insurance. The defense argues these deductions should be overturned and the liquidation adjusted according to Supreme Court rulings regarding tax exemptions.
