Cristina Trăilă questioned by DNA Iaşi in corruption probe

Cristina Trăilă, the former Deputy Secretary General of the Romanian Government, has been summoned for questioning by the DNA Iaşi in connection with an investigation involving businessman Fănel Bogos. Prosecutors are reportedly moving to change her legal status from suspect to defendant.

Trăilă, who resigned from her position on August 26, has denied any wrongdoing, describing the media scandal as artificial. She has stated that the investigation does not involve Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan and has clarified that the allegations of influence peddling pertain to former PNL Vaslui leader Mihai Barbu, claiming she acted only as an accomplice.
