Cristy, mother of Christian Nodal, debuts as singer with tango for granddaughter

Cristy, the mother of Mexican singer Christian Nodal, has debuted as a singer with the release of a tango titled ‘Regalo de Luna’. The song is dedicated to her granddaughter, Inti, the daughter of Christian Nodal and Argentine singer Cazzu.

Originally composed nine years ago for her daughter Amely, Cristy adapted the melody into a tango as a tribute to the Argentine heritage of her granddaughter. The musical production was handled by her husband, Jaime González, under the JG Music label.

The release occurs amidst complex family dynamics following the separation of Nodal and Cazzu in May 2024 and Nodal’s subsequent marriage to Ángela Aguilar. While the song has received positive reception from online audiences, neither Nodal nor Aguilar has issued a public reaction to the release.
