Colima Governor inaugurates new sports and social infrastructure

Colima Governor Indira Vizcaíno Silva has inaugurated several social and infrastructure projects aimed at youth and disability services. As part of the ‘Mundial Social’ program promoted by President Claudia Sheinbaum, the state has delivered two new five-a-side football pitches in La Negrita, Manzanillo, and Cerro de Ortega, Tecomán. These facilities include synthetic grass, professional goals, and specialized lighting.

In support of accessibility, the Governor delivered two new adapted vehicles to the Center for Rehabilitation and Special Education (CREE) of the DIF, marking the first such units received by the institution in twenty years. Additionally, the state has launched patient assessment sessions for the Teletón Child Rehabilitation and Inclusion Center (CRIT) in Colima. Over 700 families are participating in these medical and clinical evaluations, conducted by a team of more than 100 health professionals from across Mexico, to establish personalized rehabilitation plans.
