Cáritas organizations provide food aid to vulnerable groups in Mexico and Argentina

Charitable organizations under the Cáritas network are providing food and essential aid to vulnerable populations in Mexico and Argentina.

In Saltillo, Mexico, the Santiago Apóstol Cathedral has launched the ‘Caridad exprés’ initiative. Managed by Cáritas, the program provides hot meals containing protein to homeless individuals and those lacking sufficient resources. Currently, the service operates twice weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays, with plans to expand to a seven-day schedule. The site also offers medical, dental, and pharmacy services, alongside a clothing bazaar.

In the Maldonado neighborhood of Argentina, volunteers at the Crucifixión del Señor church provide weekly assistance to 125 beneficiaries, primarily elderly citizens and people with disabilities receiving minimum pensions. The group distributes raw food rations and manages a parish clothing center that produces bedding and organizes donations. Due to high local demand, current assistance slots are fully occupied.
