Criterion Collection announces January 2027 release schedule

The Criterion Collection has announced its release schedule for January 2027, featuring six major titles across various formats. The lineup includes 4K UHD upgrades for Bong Joon Ho’s ‘Parasite’ and John Schlesinger’s ‘Midnight Cowboy’, alongside new Blu-ray releases for John Boorman’s ‘Deliverance’, Mike Leigh’s ‘Career Girls’, Claire Denis’s ‘Chocolat’, and Martin Scorsese’s ‘World Cinema Project No. 6’.

The ‘Parasite’ 4K UHD edition will include both the color and black-and-white versions, featuring HDR and Dolby Atmos sound. The ‘Midnight Cowboy’ release will provide an HDR presentation of a restoration approved by cinematographer Adam Holender. While ‘Parasite’, ‘Midnight Cowboy’, and ‘Deliverance’ are receiving UHD editions, the ‘Career Girls’, ‘Chocolat’, and ‘World Cinema Project’ titles will be released on Blu-ray despite utilizing new 4K restorations.
