Criterion Collection announces KPop Demon Hunters 4K release

The Criterion Collection has announced a deluxe 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray physical release of the Netflix animated musical ‘KPop Demon Hunters’, scheduled for November 3, 2026. The film, directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, follows the members of the girl group HUNTR/X as they balance pop stardom with a secret mission to protect humanity from supernatural forces.

The release will feature a new 4K digital master approved by the directors and a Dolby Atmos soundtrack. Special features include a feature-length animatic with a new introduction, a making-of documentary, two video essays by Taylor Ramos and Tony Zhou, lyric videos, and a critic essay by Karen Han. The package also includes collectible postcards with original illustrations and English subtitles/descriptive audio. The physical release is designated as Spine #1333 in the Criterion library.
