Abhijeet Dipke Calls for Amit Shah's Resignation, Claims Threats Over Student Protests

Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), has repeatedly demanded that Union Home Minister Amit Shah resign, accusing him of ordering police force—including alleged pellet‑gun use—against student protesters on July 20 at Jantar Mantar. Dipke said, "The way students were attacked could not have happened without Shah's orders," and warned that if his party had received foreign funding, it would be Shah's failure.

Dipke also alleged that he was repeatedly threatened to join the BJP, with warnings that his family could be harmed, claiming the threats came from offices of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Shah. He mocked Modi, suggesting the premier become a social‑media influencer, and criticised Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's handling of exam paper leaks, which led to Pradhan's resignation after nationwide protests.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced protection for CJP protesters facing intimidation from right‑wing groups, while the Delhi government said no further legal action would be taken against peaceful participants. The CJP movement inspired a similar online “Cockroach Party Pakistan,” a youth‑focused group citing the Indian protests as a model.
