CRN launches Amor à Vida, its first hybrid propulsion superyacht

CRN has delivered Amor à Vida, a 67.55-metre custom displacement motor yacht, marking the shipyard's first vessel to utilize hybrid propulsion. Built in Ancona, Italy, the yacht features a steel hull and aluminium superstructure spanning six decks.

The hybrid system, developed in collaboration with Siemens Energy, combines twin MTU diesel engines with shaftline electric motors, battery storage, and an engine heat recovery system to reduce emissions. The vessel is designed to accommodate 12 guests and 17 crew members.

Technical specifications include a waterline length of 66.4 metres and a gross tonnage of 1,447. The propulsion setup includes two MTU 12V4000 M63 engines and two Siemens Energy synchronous AC motors. The project involved engineering from the Ferretti Group Superyachts Division and exterior styling by Nuvolari Lenard.
