Karlovac – Duga Resa water infrastructure project completed

Infrastructure works for the Karlovac – Duga Resa water and sewage agglomeration project have been completed for the Turanj and Kamensko settlements. The project involved the installation of nearly 28 kilometers of new pipelines, consisting of 14.84 kilometers of sewage pipes and 13.18 kilometers of water supply pipes.

The total value of the completed works in this phase is approximately 10.47 million euros. The project benefits seven settlements: Kamensko, Turanj, Turanjski Poloj, Turanjski Lug, Braće Gojak, Jelaši, and Mikšići. The upgrades aim to provide more reliable water supplies, reduce water loss, and improve wastewater collection to protect groundwater and surface water.

The broader strategic project is heavily supported by the European Union, which covers 70.88 percent of the eligible costs, with the remainder funded by national and local sources.
