The Croatian Government will sponsor the 35th anniversary of the death of war photographer Gordana Lederer on 10 August. The commemorative ceremony will take place at the memorial "Slomljeni pejzaž" on hill Čukur above Kostajnica, Croatia.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Croatian Veterans Tomo Medved said the event expresses lasting grief and gratitude for Lederer's professional and personal contribution, noting his death symbolizes the commitment to truth, media freedom and the defence of the Republic during the Homeland War.

Lederer was killed on 10 August 1991 at age 33 when a sniper shot him while filming Croatian defenders during Serbian attacks on Pounje. The memorial features a stylised broken camera lens, created by sculptor Petra Barišić and the architectural studio NFO (architects Kate Marunice and Nenad Ravnić).
