Croatia and Italy launch 2.05 million euro blue economy fund
The Croatian Agency for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Innovation and Investments (HAMAG-BICRO) has launched a call for proposals under the SEAS (Sustainable Enterprises Advancing Blue Solutions) project. Aimed at entrepreneurs and start-ups in Croatia and Italy, the initiative provides 2.05 million euros to support the development, testing, and commercialization of innovative solutions within the blue economy.
Funded largely by the European Regional Development Fund, individual projects can receive between 80,000 and 125,000 euros, covering up to 80 percent of eligible costs. To qualify, applicants must form a cross-border partnership including at least one Croatian and one Italian entrepreneur. The project focuses on technological readiness levels (TRL) of 5 and above, emphasizing sustainability and the green transition.
