Croatia and Montenegro municipalities allocate funds for school supplies and social support

The town of Valpovo in Croatia announced a public call to provide a one‑time cash grant of €40 to each primary‑school pupil for the 2026/27 school year. The aid, intended for school‑related items, is available to students from first to eighth grade attending local schools, as well as those residing in Valpovo but studying elsewhere, provided they have not received a similar grant from another local authority.

Bar municipality approved subsidies totaling roughly €190,000 for social and child‑protection programmes in 2026. The package includes €15,000 in one‑off grants of €100 each for 150 children to purchase school supplies, €54,990 for sports‑club memberships for 186 users, €65,160 for school‑meal costs for 182 beneficiaries, and €54,810 for informal education for 174 users. The measures aim to ease education‑related expenses and promote social inclusion for children and families in need.
