Croatia earmarks €4 million for Croat farmers in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Croatian government has approved a €4 million program to fund agricultural projects run by Croats living in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the 2026‑2028 period. The aid, allocated through the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, will support up to 221 farms and agribusinesses that register under Bosnian law, with applications evaluated after a public call issued on 30 April 2026.

In parallel, Vukovarsko‑Srijemska County announced €240 000 in subsidies for local farmers, while a nationwide public call has been launched for financial support to improve the operations of Croatian businesses. Both initiatives aim to modernise agricultural activity and boost competitiveness.

Eligibility for the Bosnia‑Herzegovina scheme requires Croatian nationality, registration of agricultural activity in the country, and ownership of farmland or production capacity within its borders. Funds are to be disbursed by the end of November 2026.
