European nations adjust regulated fuel prices
Several Balkan and Central European nations have announced adjustments to regulated fuel prices.
In Croatia, the government has issued new decrees where diesel prices will decrease by 0.07 EUR per liter, and blue diesel will drop by 0.11 EUR per liter. Conversely, gasoline prices are set to increase by 0.01 EUR per liter. These regulated prices, effective from early September, aim to stabilize the market and mitigate costs for citizens.
In North Macedonia, the Regulatory Commission for Energy and Water Services announced that diesel prices will decrease by 6.5 denars per liter, while gasoline prices will rise by 1 denar. Similarly, in Slovenia, diesel is expected to decrease by 9.2 cents per liter, while 95-octane gasoline will increase by 1.5 cents.
In Montenegro, the Ministry of Energy and Mining reported that gasoline prices will decrease by two cents for Eurosuper 95 and one cent for Eurosuper 98, while Eurodiesel remains unchanged at 1.87 EUR per liter.
In Austria, the government has extended its fuel price mitigation measures, including a tax reduction of 1.9 cents per liter, through September 30, 2026. This measure is intended to buffer the impact of international wholesale market fluctuations on domestic pump prices.
