Croatia announces agricultural subsidies and entrepreneur grants

The Agency for Payments in Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development has scheduled the disbursement of agricultural advances for 2026, starting October 16. Approximately 230 million euros have been allocated to support around 100,000 agricultural holdings. These funds cover various interventions, including basic income support for sustainability, additional redistributed income support, and support for young farmers, as well as payments for areas with natural constraints.

Disbursements will be processed gradually based on data processing and individual eligibility. Farmers can verify their approved amounts through the Agronet system in the second half of November.

Separately, the Ministry of Economy has launched a 2 million euro program aimed at developing small and medium-sized enterprises and crafts in regions with significant national minority populations. Eligible micro, small, and medium enterprises can apply for non-refundable grants ranging from 7,000 to 20,000 euros, which may cover up to 100 percent of eligible costs. Applications are open from October 16 to October 30, 2026.
