Croatia announces ‘Oskar zvanja’ recipients for educators

The Agency for Education and Training has announced the recipients of the ‘Oskar zvanja’ (Oscar of Titles), a new award introduced to recognize outstanding educational workers in Croatia. A total of 951 employees, including teachers, principals, and kindergarten educators, have been selected for advancement to the titles of mentor, advisor, or excellent advisor for the 2025/2026 school year.

In the Vukovar-Srijem County, 17 educators were named to the list, representing various institutions such as the Ivan Domac Economic and Trade School in Vinkovci and Gimnazija Vukovar. In Osijek, 15 educators received the recognition, spanning music schools, secondary schools, and kindergartens.

The formal award ceremony is scheduled to take place on October 7 and 8, 2026, at the National and University Library in Zagreb.
