Croatia Blesses Restored St. Lawrence Church in Lukoran and Launches Five-Day Lovreč Festival

On 2 August, Bishop Milan Zgrablić blessed the newly renovated parish church of St. Lawrence in Lukoran, Croatia. The ceremony marked the completion of extensive restoration work, the installation of a new altar and pulpit, and the baptism of a newborn named Mara.

From 6 to 10 August, the nearby town of Sveti Lovreč will host a five‑day celebration of the Saint Lawrence feast. The programme includes nightly concerts, a jazz performance by Albe Nacinovich, traditional food fairs, bicycle rides, basketball and boċari tournaments, a corn‑hole competition, and a concluding mass and exhibition on the final day.

Both events highlight the region’s cultural and religious traditions and draw participants from the local community and surrounding areas.
