Croatia blood donation drives see high turnout and record milestones
Multiple voluntary blood donation drives were recently held across various regions in Croatia, demonstrating strong community participation.
In Ravna Gora and Brod Moravice, 48 units of blood were collected from 50 participants. The event was notable for celebrating donors who reached significant milestones, including Sreto Cvijanović and Slaven Crnković, who both reached 100 donations. Other high-frequency donors included Nenad Crnković, who has donated 127 times, and Damir Crnković, with 119 donations. The action was conducted in cooperation with the Clinical Hospital Center Rijeka.
In Slatina, the 14th annual donation drive organized by the City Red Cross Slatina and the Clinical Hospital Center Osijek saw 69 people donate blood. This event welcomed five new donors to the community. A new local record was also set by Željko Kočiš from Bakić, who achieved 117 donations. Since the beginning of the year, a total of 666 people have donated blood in the Slatina area.
