Slaven Bilić announces Croatia squad for Nations League

New Croatia national team head coach Slaven Bilić has announced his squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches. The roster includes veteran captain Luka Modrić, who has confirmed he will continue his international career. Bilić emphasized that Modrić remains a vital asset both on and off the pitch, though his playing time will be managed to align with his club commitments at Milan.

The squad will face a demanding schedule consisting of four matches in September and October against Czechia, Spain, and England. Bilić also introduced his new coaching staff, which includes a dedicated set-piece specialist, Gianni Vio, and several assistants and analysts.

In addition to the senior men's team, Ivica Olić has released the roster for the Croatia U21 squad ahead of their Euro 2027 qualifying matches against Hungary, Ukraine, and Lithuania. The senior women's team, led by Ivica Obrvan, is also preparing for its first autumn gathering and upcoming tournament in North Macedonia.
