Croatia commemorates the legacy of Pope John Paul II
Religious observances are being held in Croatia to honor the memory of Saint Pope John Paul II on the anniversary of his pontificate. In Dubrovnik, the Diocese of Dubrovnik is hosting solemn masses at the Cathedral of the Assumption and in the parish of Saint Cross in Gruž, followed by the veneration of his relics.
Additional commemorations are scheduled in Blato at the Monastery of the Daughters of Mercy. These events serve to remember the Pope's significant impact on the Church and his deep connection to the Croatian people, having visited the country three times during his papacy: in 1994, 1998, and 2003.
