Croatia construction services see price increases

A survey conducted by the Emajstor platform reveals that nearly half of construction and craft service providers in Croatia increased their prices over the past year. Approximately 46 percent of respondents reported price hikes, with an average increase of 8.9 percent.

The primary driver for these rising costs is the increased price of construction materials, cited by 68 percent of those who noted price changes. Other contributing factors include general inflation (48 percent), rising energy costs (38 percent), and higher taxes and wage contributions (37 percent).

Price increases have been most significant in specific sectors, such as facade and plastering work (62 percent) and furniture and carpentry (56 percent). Looking ahead, nearly half of the surveyed contractors anticipate further price increases of up to 10 percent within the next 12 months, although more than half of all respondents currently intend to maintain their existing price lists.
