Croatia Davis Cup squad set for Germany clash in Halle

The Croatian Davis Cup team will face Germany in Halle on September 19 and 20. The winner of this matchup will secure a spot in the final tournament in Bologna scheduled for November.

Coach Ivan Dodig has finalized the squad, which includes Dino Prižmić, Matej Dodig, Mili Poljičak, Mate Pavić, and Nikola Mektić. Marin Čilić is absent from the lineup due to injury. Notably, Matej Dodig joins the team following a recent Challenger title win in Como, Italy, which helped him reach a career-high ATP ranking of 182.

The matches will be played on hard courts. The schedule begins Saturday with two singles matches, followed by a doubles match and two additional singles matches on Sunday. Germany's lineup features Alexander Zverev, Yannick Hanfmann, and the doubles specialists Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz.
