A new batch of specialized firefighting vehicles for forest fires was officially handed over at the State Firefighting School in Zagreb on August 26. This delivery includes six new vehicles, consisting of five larger capacity units and one smaller unit, destined for firefighting units in Petrinja, Buzet, Imotski, Županja, Senj, and Brestovac.

This distribution is part of a larger procurement project involving 78 new vehicles. The fleet includes 40 vehicles with a 2,500-liter capacity and 38 vehicles with a 5,000-liter capacity. The vehicles are equipped with 4x4 drive, water tanks, and specialized pumps designed for demanding terrain.

The procurement is funded through the general useful functions of forests (OKFŠ), with funds distributed by the relevant ministry in cooperation with the Croatian Firefighting Association. Chief Firefighting Commander Slavko Tucaković stated that these investments strengthen the operational capabilities of Croatian firefighters, noting that previously delivered vehicles have already been deployed to major fires in Korčula and Lokve Rogoznice.
