Croatia denies visa liberalization for Pakistan
The Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MVEP) has denied claims that Croatia and other European Union and Schengen area members are considering the liberalization of visa regimes for Pakistan.
The Ministry clarified that the recent news pertains exclusively to the planned opening of a visa center in Islamabad. This administrative and consular development is intended to allow Pakistani citizens and residents to submit Schengen visa applications in Pakistan's capital, rather than having to travel to Tehran, where applications are currently processed.
MVEP emphasized that no member state has proposed or is considering changes to the visa processing procedures or the liberalization of the visa regime itself. The move is strictly a matter of improving the location for receiving applications.
