Croatia enters UEFA top 20 coefficient rankings
Croatia has moved up to 20th place in the UEFA national coefficient rankings, overtaking Sweden. This advancement follows Dinamo Zagreb's scoreless draw against Hapoel Beer Sheva in Bucharest, which contributed 0.250 points to the national total.
Croatia currently holds a five-year coefficient of 25.906, while Sweden sits at 25.750. Croatia maintains a strategic advantage over Sweden because it still has two clubs active in European competitions—Dinamo in the Europa League and Hajduk Split, who is set to begin Conference League action against Ajax—whereas Sweden has only one remaining representative.
The next target for Croatia is Scotland, which holds 19th place with 26.250 points, leaving a gap of only 0.344 points. Improving the coefficient is vital for securing more European qualification spots in future seasons.
