Croatia extends energy subsidies for vulnerable citizens

The Croatian government has extended increased energy subsidies for vulnerable customers. As part of the 11th package of measures, the monthly compensation for electricity, gas, or heating costs, which can reach up to 70 euros, has been extended until March 31, 2027.

Approximately 130,000 beneficiaries are expected to benefit from this measure, for which 54.6 million euros has been allocated. While the standard compensation amount is 26.54 euros per month, the temporary increase to 70 euros aims to mitigate energy poverty.

Eligibility is restricted to specific groups, including recipients of guaranteed minimum benefits, certain levels of inclusive allowances, national allowances for the elderly, and specific beneficiaries within the veteran and victim support systems, as well as members of their households.
