Croatia extends SME innovation voucher deadline and EUREKA competition nears close

The Croatian Ministry of Economy has extended the application deadline for the Innovation Vouchers program for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The new deadline is April 30, 2027, providing an additional four months for applicants to secure non-refundable funds ranging from 2,000 to 10,000 euros per project.

The program, which has a total budget of 4,874,214 euros, aims to connect SMEs with scientific research organizations to facilitate the testing, examination, and development of new products, services, or processes. It is not intended for standard equipment purchases or routine operating costs.

Separately, the EUREKA IIEC 2026 international competition is nearing its application deadline. The competition offers Croatian innovators and entrepreneurs access to global business partners and investors, with a total prize fund of 27,500 euros. The top prize is 10,000 euros, with additional awards for second and third-place teams.
