Croatia funds hospitals with €125 million to clear debts

The Croatian government has approved a disbursement of €125,677,436 to health institutions to cover part of outstanding hospital debts and to preserve the current level of healthcare services, ensuring uninterrupted supply of medicines and consumables. The funds will be allocated to all hospital providers, both state‑run and those owned by local governments, with €123.8 million earmarked for 29 state hospitals and €1.85 million for seven county hospitals.

In the same session the cabinet gave consent for the Immunology Institute to assume obligations worth €995,902 (including VAT) for a public‑procurement contract to construct an administrative building with a total value of €3,983,610. The government also adopted the 2026 annual programme for cadastral measurements, investing €32 million to renew the cadastre and land‑register across 132,000 parcels in 57 municipalities of 20 counties, enhancing property data accuracy and legal certainty.
