Croatia hosts festivals celebrating language heritage and charity

The fifth edition of the Glazbeni književni susret “ŠtoKajČa” was held on 28 July at the National Library in Kali. Organized by the association Stihovi i Note, the event featured participants Darko Petrov from Zadar, Ivan Čehok from Varaždin, Mimi Zadarski, Ines Kolega and guest singer‑songwriter Milo Škara. Its goal is to promote the Croatian linguistic heritage of Štokavian, Kajkavian and Čakavian dialects and to celebrate the nation’s cultural identity.

On the same evening, the traditional donor concert “Klape pjevaju, a pisma liči!” took place in Kula Kamerlengo, Trogir. Hosted by the association TOMSi, the 19th‑annual concert presented women’s klapa Neverin, mixed klapa Dežgracija, and other Dalmatian groups, with proceeds pledged to support beneficiaries of Udruge TOMS. The event highlighted Dalmatian choral tradition while raising funds for local humanitarian aid.
