Croatia hosts major art and photography exhibitions in Zagreb and Slano

The Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb opened its final student showcase, "ALU perspektiva 2026," featuring the best works of its graduating artists. The exhibition is displayed at three city venues—Ilica 85, Lastovska 23 and Zamenhofova 14—and is open on weekdays from 12:00 to 20:00 and Saturdays from 12:00 to 18:00 until 20 June 2026. The opening ceremony on 8 September included a concert by the HRT Jazz Orchestra paying tribute to Dino Dvornik.

In the coastal town of Slano, the Dubrovnik Museums presented a guest exhibition titled "Iza objektiva: Jero Pugliesi, učeni gospari i Tempi passati," curated by Marina Filipović. The show displays historic photographs taken by the 19th‑century physician and amateur photographer Jero Pugliesi, illustrating everyday life, traditional customs and processions in Slano and its surroundings. Visitors can explore the images with guided tours until 15 July 2026, and the exhibition is supported by the Dubrovnik‑Neretva County and the municipality of Dubrovnik Primorje.
