Croatia humanitarian drives support children and vulnerable citizens

Various humanitarian initiatives are underway in Croatia to support vulnerable populations. The Bjelovar Vintage Vehicle Association and the Oldtimer Club Kurbla Garešnica are organizing the 10th annual humanitarian oldtimer marathon to benefit SOS Children's Villages Ladimirevci. Scheduled for October 10, the event encourages donations of food, school supplies, and hygiene products, which can be dropped off at the Natura 2000 Visitor Center until July 7.

In Osijek, the City Society of the Red Cross is conducting its 54th annual “Solidarity in Action” collection campaign. This initiative aims to alleviate poverty and social exclusion by collecting financial and material aid. Key activities include a “Your Gift for a Right Cause” campaign at Kaufland locations from October 5 to 10, 2026, where volunteers will collect essential food items like flour, pasta, and canned goods. Additionally, the Social Service is accepting donations of clean winter clothing, footwear, blankets, and bedding.
